Our Mission & Vision

A Leading Force in South African Agriculture

Allied Farms is proud to be one of the largest commercial farming operations in South Africa, playing a critical role in the production and export of maize, wheat, and soybeans. With thousands of tons harvested annually, we are a key contributor to both national food security and agricultural trade.

Allied Farms operates under the broader Allied Group, which oversees our full spectrum of agricultural activities, from planting and harvesting to logistics and export. As part of our long-term vision for sustainability and diversification, the Group also manages Allied Power, a dynamic new venture focused on renewable energy generation through large-scale solar infrastructure. Together, we are not only feeding the nation, but helping to power its future.

The Need for Clean,
Reliable Energy

At Allied Farms, sustainability is not just a goal, it's a responsibility. Recognising the growing importance of clean energy, we took a decisive first step by installing solar-powered geysers across all employee accommodation on the farm. This successful initiative inspired a broader vision: to transition the entire operation toward renewable solar energy.

Currently, Allied Farms consumes approximately 5 megawatt-hours of electricity per month, a critical requirement to maintain consistent agricultural production. As a farm of this scale, any power outage, even for a single day, is not an option. Reliable backup energy is essential.

This necessity gave rise to Allied Power, our commitment to developing green, on-site energy solutions that not only support continuous farm operations but also reduce our environmental footprint. If our backup power can be clean, sustainable, and cost-effective, then it's a win for both business and the planet.

Driving Sustainable Solutions

From Agriculture to Energy - Powering a Sustainable Future

Major Food Supplier

At the heart of Allied Farms is a legacy of agricultural excellence. With deep-rooted expertise and decades of hands-on farming experience, we have become one of South Africa's leading producers of maize, wheat, and soybeans. Our commitment to quality and consistency helps meet the country's high demand for staple food products—supporting both local markets and international exports.

Electricity Generation

Running a large-scale agricultural operation requires significant energy. Our farms consume an average of 5 megawatt-hours of electricity per month, underscoring the need for a stable and sustainable power supply. Through our renewable energy division, Allied Power, we are now investing in clean energy infrastructure—not only to power our operations, but to contribute surplus capacity back into the national grid, supporting South Africa's broader energy resilience.
